This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to exercise compliance powers to enforce laws relating to traditional, recreational and commercial fisheries management and other associated legislation.
The unit applies to individuals who locate evidence by searching property in locations including sea, beach, inland waterways and landings. It involves entering and searching premises including vessels and vehicles, seizing property and arresting individuals.
All work must be carried out to comply with workplace procedures, according to state/territory health and safety, food safety, biosecurity and environmental regulations, legislation and standards that apply to the workplace.
